Ferudun Karagöz

Chief Promotion Officer | Board Advisor Professor Ferudun Karagöz is a prominent figure with over 30 years of experience in the field of global financial technology. He completed his undergraduate education in Financial Engineering at Istanbul University, earned his master's degree in Financial Technology and Management at the London School of Economics (LSE), and conducted postdoctoral research in Artificial Intelligence and Quantitative Trading at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).

Professor Karagöz began his career at Zurich Credit Group’s London branch and later joined Anglo American, where he led the company's global digital asset transformation strategy. He developed AI-based "smart architecture" frameworks in the energy sector and served as an early member of the European Union's regulatory commission, contributing to the creation of quantitative regulation frameworks.

Since 2012, he has been a pioneer in promoting national development strategies focused on financial technology education and awareness. He has provided high-level consultancy to governments in numerous countries on AI and quantitative trading projects and led the establishment of Turkey's first hybrid AI quantitative experiment laboratory.

In 2023, he was appointed by the Turkish Government as the "National Artificial Intelligence Financial Education Ambassador" and was honored with the "Eurasia FinTech Innovation Achievement Award" the same year. He has led Turkey's first AI-supported public offering education and policy initiatives.

Throughout his career, Professor Karagöz has participated in numerous top-tier financial market operations, AI product launches, and cross-border financial education projects. He is a regular speaker at major events such as the Davos Forum and the G20 Technology and Finance Summit.

Recognized as one of the pioneers bridging traditional finance and advanced technology, Professor Karagöz is regarded as one of the most influential leaders in global financial technology.
